Charged and other BSM Higgs searches

With the discovery of a Higgs boson, both the ATLAS and CMS collaborations have reached an important milestone in the physics program at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at Cern.

The question whether this new particle is consistent with the standard model (SM) Higgs boson has taken a center role in the short and medium term of the LHC physics program.

The recently discovered Higgs boson could imply the existence of BSM physics could exist at the TeV energy scale, and it could be observable at the LHC. The Higgs sector in the Minimal Supersymmetric SM (MSSM) with two scalar doublets accommodates five Higgs bosons. In the lowest order these are the light and heavy CP even h and H, the CP odd A, and the charged Higgs H^+.

The observation of departures from the SM properties would be an important hint of new physics beyond the SM (BSM). Observations of the relative SM rates and kinematics of top quark final states may also provide constrain for new physics processes. Past and current experimental measurements are presented with a critical view, and a look at the future prospects.
