Description
Il giorno 12 giugno 2013, alle ore 16.00 in saletta riunioni, il Prof. T.N.Pham, del Centre de Physique Theorique, CNRS, Ecole Polytechnique, Palaiseau, France, terra' un seminario dal titolo:
Pion as a Longitudinal Axial-Vector Meson q bar q Bound State
Abstract: The agreement with experiment of the chiral anomaly prediction for the pi^0 to gamma gamma decay rate implies that other contributions like the q bar q bound state contribution, would be suppressed as shown by the Sutherland-Veltman theorem in the soft pion limit. In this talk, I would like to discuss a recent work in which we consider the pion to be a longitudinal axial-vector meson q bar q bound state. We show that, if the pion behaves as a longitudinal axial-vector meson q bar q bound state, then the momentum-dependence pion Bethe-Salpeter wave function could produce a suppressed pi^0 to gamma gamma decay amplitude in the soft pion limit, in agreement with the Sutherland-Veltman theorem and would explain the success of the chiral anomaly prediction for the pi^0 to gamma gamma decay rate.
