Extended QCD phase diagram from the lattice

ABSTRACT
While a direct study of the QCD phase diagram at real chemical potential μ, via standard numeric techniques based on importance sampling, is prevented from the presence of the sign problem, this is not the case at purely imaginary chemical potential μi.

Furthermore, the rich structure of the QCD phase diagram at μi constrains, by analytic continuation, the real-μ phase diagram.
Consequently, over the last years, both the chiral and deconfinement phase transitions at imaginary chemical potential, have been thoroughly investigated.
We will provide an overview of the most recent studies concerning Nf=2 QCD, reporting on our investigations both at the Roberge-Weiss critical value of μi and towards μ=0 in the chiral region.
