Description

The results of the search for the Standard Model Higgs boson, carried out with proton-proton collision data collected at centre of mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV at LHC, will be described. After the first observation of a new boson consistent with the Standard Model Higgs boson that has been announced on July 4th, 2012, the ATLAS and CMS experiments started to measure its properties in order to verify if this new particles corresponds to the Higgs boson responsible of the Electroweak symmetry breaking. The analysis methods and the last results prepared for the 2012 HCP conference will be described in details. The analyzed data correspond to up to 18 inverse femtobarn of data per experiment and have been collected until September 2012. Emphasis will be given to the five major Higgs boson decay channels: gamma gamma, b-quark pair, tau lepton pair, WW, and ZZ decaying to electrons and muons, and to the results of the combination of all analyses.
