Silvia Pozzi, not yet 30, did her thesis on theoretical physics. But her Ph.D. experience convinced her to make the leap. She changed both scientific path and home, moving to Ferrara and embracing her experimental activity with enthusiasm. Silvia works with the LHCb collaboration.

"When I need to relax and feel at peace with the rest of the world, I have two options: open an old physics book or go horse riding. I have my very own horse and I spend many happy hours with him. Together we face the jumping contest challenges, which often prove to be tough... almost like those of the LHC. "
