Clara has been Research Director at INFN since 1990, besides being a tenured professor at the University of Milan. She has worked on several experiments at CERN and at SLAC (Stanford Linear Accelerator Center), taking part in the DELPHI experiment and taking on several prestigious positions: at CERN she's been Chair of the group in charge of the combined analysis of the four experiments of the old LEP accelerator (about the coupling of 3 mediating bosons) and in 1998 she entered the LEP committee, where she remained till it was disbanded due to the new LHC project.
In 1997 she began to get interested in LHCb's physics, and got immediately involved in the management of this ambitious project, at a high level of responsibility: in 1998 the INFN assigned her the job of representing the experiment at a national level. Afterwards she became Chair of "LHCb's Collaboration Board ".
She has authored almost 500 publications - a good deal of which were the result of her own analysis - and today Clara is Chair of the LHCb editorial board, besides being editor of the international magazine "European Physical Journal C".
